It is with great sorrow that the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office announces the passing of Correction Officer Christopher Urquhart, who left us on May 27, 2025. Christopher, a respected and dedicated member of the Suffolk County law enforcement community, served with honor and commitment for over 17 years. His professionalism, compassion, and strong sense of duty touched the lives of countless individuals during his career.
Born and raised in Suffolk County, Christopher’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and the people he served. He was a steadfast presence within the Sheriff’s Office, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community he worked to protect.
Christopher was a loving father, son, and friend. His daughter Brianna shared a heartfelt tribute to her father: “My beautiful dad, love you always. We’re going to miss you forever. You were so loved by everyone 💙💙❤️.” His deep love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he leaves behind an indelible legacy of kindness, integrity, and devotion.
Christopher’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched. The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office extends its deepest condolences to his family, co-workers, and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this incredibly difficult time.
