Cora Hillukka, a beloved daughter, friend, and caregiver, passed away peacefully in her sleep last Saturday. She was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her, and her sudden passing has left a deep and irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.
Born and raised in Cokato, Minnesota, Cora was the radiant daughter of Miranda Hillukka. From a young age, she was surrounded by love, faith, and music, growing up in the nurturing environment of her church community, where her mother has long been a devoted member of the Laestadian Lutheran Church and active participant in its music ministry. Cora inherited this same warmth and grace that she carried into all areas of her life.
Cora worked with compassion and joy, brightening the days of the residents she served. As shared by a colleague, “Cora was a joy to work with, and the residents always looked forward to seeing her. She always put a smile on their faces.” Her kind presence and gentle heart left an indelible mark.
Though gone too soon, Cora’s spirit lives on in the memories and love of those who knew her. She is now reunited in heaven with her father and grandfather, embraced in everlasting peace, and waiting for the day she can be reunited with her loved ones once more.
She is survived by her loving mother, Miranda Hillukka; dear friends and extended family; and a community that cherished her deeply.
A memorial fund has been established to support Jaclyn and Aaron during this difficult time, helping with funeral expenses and easing the burdens that come with such a profound loss. The family is grateful for every prayer and expression of love.
Cora Hillukka will be missed more than words can express. May her memory be eternal, and may God’s peace comfort those who mourn her.
